Before there was Seaside Café, there were family meals, Sunday Italian feasts, and a father and son who shared a love of good food.
For Rafe, Seaside Café’s founder and head chef, cooking with his dad, Michael, sparked a passion that led to culinary school and a career spent perfecting pizza. When his dad suggested opening a restaurant together, that lifelong connection brought Rafe back to Key West.
They knew pizza would be at the heart of the menu. What they didn’t know was that lobster pizza would become their signature.
Through experimentation and encouragement from some of their earliest guests, an unexpected idea became a Seaside favorite.
