Named for William Pope Duval, the first territorial governor of Florida, Duval Street in Key West is home to a great collection of shops, restaurants, nightclubs, and galleries. Running north and south from the Gulf of Mexico to the Atlantic Ocean, Duval Street also features Cuban cigar stands and the renowned Key West Butterfly Conservatory. At the southwest end of street is the southernmost point in the continental United States.
