What are the check in and check out times?
Check in is at 3:00pm (special needs can be accommodated with prior arrangement).
Check out is at 11:00am (special needs can be accommodated with prior arrangement).
Are children allowed at The Southernmost House Historic Inn?
We cannot accommodate children younger than 16 years of age.
What is your policy on pets?
We regret that pets are not permitted.
Is smoking permitted?
All rooms are non-smoking.
Do you offer breakfast at the hotel?
Our complimentary continental breakfast is served every morning from 7:00am to 11:00am.
Is there onsite parking?
Yes. We have dedicated onsite parking for all of our registered guests. The cost is $20.00 per night.
Do I need a car?
Key West is a small, island with an array of exhilarating activities. You can get almost anywhere by walking or by bicycle. There are also pedicabs, taxi services, trolleys and more to take you where you want to go. If you choose to bring a car, we offer self parking for a fee of $15.00 plus tax daily.
How do I get to The Southernmost House?
By Plane
You can fly directly into Key West International Airport through Atlanta, Tampa, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, and Miami. The Southernmost House is only minutes from the Key West International Airport. The flight into Key West gives you a spectacular bird's eye view of the islands approaching Key West and of the island city itself.
By Car
By car, you will experience an awe-inspiring drive down the Florida Keys Scenic Highway. Known as the Overseas Highway, it traverses 113 miles from the mainland to Key West through incredible natural beauty and engineering marvels. You will follow the path of Henry Flagler's Overseas Railroad over impossible stretches of water. The Southernmost House is located at mile marker zero. Allow three and a half to four hours if driving from Miami.
Where's the Beach?
One hundred feet away, right next door. Directly adjacent to The Southernmost House, on the Atlantic Ocean, is South Beach. Fort Zachary Taylor State Park, "the best beach in Key West" is also located close by. To get there, you can enter through Truman Annex on Southard Street. Explore the Fort, snorkel, fish, swim and picnic.
